1973年1月生まれ。神奈川平塚在住。2021年、48歳で一念発起してフリーランスへ転向。コロナ禍での再スタートとなってしまったものの、そもそも「仕事がないのが当たり前」で始めたフリーランス。コロナ禍前との比較もできず「一歩一歩、焦らず」と言い聞かせ、いただいたチャンスを大切に過ごしています。
デザインの世界に入ったのは28歳になる直前でした。工学部の大学を卒業後、某業務用ドアメーカーに新卒で入社。営業企画部に配属となりカタログの発注や展示会装飾の準備などを担当していました。そんな中、デザインを生きる糧にされている方たちとお会いし、「好きなこと・楽しいことを仕事にしてもいいんだ！！」と刺激を受け、当時いただいたボーナスを夜間スクールに注ぎ込みマックを動かす程度でしたがデザインの世界になんとか滑り込みました。今では天職に就くことができたと思っています。
拾っていただいたデザイン制作会社で3年ほど経験をさせていただき、デザイナーとして成長するためにあらゆることを吸収したく（何を思ったか？！）ロンドンへ移住。デザイン・アートを通して知っているようで全く知らなかったヨーロッパの空気を吸ってきました。
帰国後、デザイン制作会社に10年ほど勤務。帰国までに吸収してきたことをデザインという形で「社会」に落とし込んでいく日々を重ね、主観と客観のバランスの重要性や、ストーリーを背景にしたデザインの重みを再認識し体系的に表現できるよう心がけてきました。今後10年、20年、いや30年（？！）先まで「自分らしく」「楽しく」「感謝も忘れず」さらなる高みを目指していきます。
Born 1973 Jan. In 2021, at the age of 48, I took a leap of faith and became a freelancer. Although the Corona disaster was a fresh start for him, I started freelancing because I “took it for granted that there would be no work”. I can’t even compare it to what I was doing before the Corona disaster, so I told myself to take it one step at a time and not to be in a hurry, and I’m making the most of the opportunities I’ve been given.
I entered the design world just before I turned 28. After graduating from an engineering university, I joined a certain commercial door manufacturer as a new graduate. I was assigned to the sales planning department and was in charge of ordering catalogues and preparing exhibition decorations. During this time, I met people who were using design as a way of life and was inspired by the idea that it was okay to do what you love and enjoy as a job! I put the bonus I received at the time into a night school and managed to slip into the world of design, even though it was only to run a Macintosh. Now I think I have found my true vocation.
After three years of experience at a design production company that picked me up, I wanted to absorb everything I could to grow as a designer (what did I think?!?!) and moved to London. Moved to London. Through design and art, I breathed in the air of Europe, which I thought I knew but didn’t know at all.
After returning to Japan, I worked for a design production company for 10 years. While spending my days incorporating what I had absorbed by the time I returned to Japan into ‘society’ in the form of design, I have tried to re-recognise the importance of the balance between subjectivity and objectivity, and the weight of design with a story behind it, so that I can express it in a systematic way. I am looking forward to the next 10, 20, or even 30 (?!) years. I will continue to aim for even greater heights, “in my own way”, “with joy” and “without forgetting gratitude”.
